"Breathwork” is an expansive term for a wide range of breathing practices. Many of these practices have religious roots based in the spiritual practices from different cultures going back centuries. Many of these practices have been integrated into yoga, mindfulness teachings, therapy and many other ways that people are reconnecting with their bodies.
A Sound Bath is simply a session where your body is bathed in SOUND. It is a soothing and restorative experience, tailored to nourish both your mind and body. In our sessions, comfort is key. You can simply sit back or lie down, and start off with some guided breathing exercises to set the stage for relaxation.
We use singing bowls to create rich, resonating sounds to fill the room, creating an orchestra of harmonious tones that guide you into a serene state. This unique sonic journey helps shift your brain activity from its usual fast pace to a more relaxed and tranquil mode.
While there are many ways of breathing, HYL. uses the practice "conscious-connected breathing" or "circular breathing." We combine this breathing rhythm with the soothing sounds of our singing bowls as we instruct you to breath deep into our belly, then chest, and then letting go (a gentle sigh). And in time our bodies begin to release so much of the toxic things that we carry (and even that our cells carry) from just going through life.
As we stay in the breathing rhythm we begin to relax into the abundant love and peace that is always available, broadening our awareness of more possibilities and helping us access our inner strength.
We guide you through the process. At first it is a challenge (it is called breathWORK for a reason!) but if you stick through it you will feel the immense benefits.
